Land use planning application fees are set by each individual local trust committee. Where more than one application commonly needs to be applied for together, some fee bylaws have a combined fee. In other instances the fee for each type of application would be assessed. Planning staff can assist with determining the appropriate fee.
Generally, local trust committee application fees only cover a portion of the cost of processing applications, based on local trust committee direction. The rest of the funding for processing applications comes from general property taxation and other revenue sources (excluding the Bowen Island Municipal levy). Please note, land use application fees for Bowen Island are set by Bowen Island Municipality.
Natural Area Protection Tax Exemption Program (NAPTEP) fees are set by Trust Council and are listed in the NAPTEP Application guide.
